Talambuhay

Natanggap ni Long ang kanyang bachelors degree sa biomedical engineering mula sa Pamantasang Brown School of Engineering at ang kanyang masters at doctorate mula sa Unibersidad ng California, Berkeley.[3]

Mula 1997 hanggang 2003si Long ay nagsilbi bilang Dean ng Mackay School of Earth Science at Engineering sa Unibersidad ng Nevada, Reno.[4]
