โรคติดเชื้อบรูเซลลา (อังกฤษ: Brucellosis)^[2][3] เป็นโรคติดเชื้อจากสัตว์ที่เกิดจากการทานนมที่ไม่ผ่านการพาสเจอไรส์หรือเนื้อสัตว์ที่ไม่ผ่านการปรุงให้สุกซึ่งได้จากสัตว์ที่มีเชื้อ หรือจากการสัมผัสใกล้ชิดกับสารคัดหลั่ง^[4] ชื่ออื่น ๆ ของโรคได้แก่ไข้แบบเป็นระยะ (undulant fever), ไข้มอลตา (Malta fever) และ ไข้เมดิเตอร์เรเนียน (Mediterranean fever)^[5]

สปีชีส์ Brucella เป็นแบคทีเรียกรัมลบ, ไม่เคลื่อนที่, ไม่สร้างสปอร์ รูปร่างแท่ง (ค็อกโคบาซิลไล) เมื่อเข้าสู่ร่างกายจะกลายเป็นปรสิตในเซลล์ชนิดแฟกคับเททีฟก่อให้เกิดโรคเรื้อรังซึ่งอาจดำเนินไปตลอดชีวิต แบคทีเรียสปีชีส์ที่ก่อโรคในมนุษย์ได้แก่ B. abortus, B. canis, B. melitensis และ B. suis โดย B. abortus แพร่กระจายยากกว่า B. melitensis และมักปรากฏติดเชื้อในวัวหรือสัตว์, B. canis ติดเชื้อในสุนัข และ B. melitensis เป็นสายพันธุ์ที่แพร่กระจายง่ายที่สุดและมักติดเชื้อในแพะและแกะในบางครั้ง B. suis มีควาามสมารถแพร่กระจายกลาง ๆ และมักติดเชื้อในหมู อาการของโรคในมุนษย์ปนะกอบดเวยเหงื่ออกมากเกิน, อาการเจ็บปวดในข้อและกล้ามเนื้อ
