ยามาไตโคกุ หรือ ยามาไต (ญี่ปุ่น: 邪馬台国; ประมาณคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 1 – ประมาณคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 3) เป็นชื่อภาษาจีน-ญี่ปุ่นของประเทศโบราณในวะ เมื่อยุคยาโยอิตอนปลาย (ประมาณ 1,000 ปีก่อน ค.ศ. – ประมาณ ค.ศ. 300) จดหมายเหตุสามก๊กบันทึกชื่อบริเวณเป็น /*ja-ma^B-də̂/ (邪馬臺)^[1] หรือ /*ja-ma^B-ʔit/ (邪馬壹; สร้างรูปสะกดใหม่ตามภาษาจีนเก่าตอนปลาย)^[1][2] ตามด้วยอักษร 國 สำหรับ "ประเทศ" ระบุถึงสถานที่ที่เป็นดินแดนของราชินี-นักบวช ฮิมิโกะ (ญี่ปุ่น: 卑弥呼; โรมาจิ: Himiko; สวรรคต ประมาณ ค.ศ. 248) นักประวัติศาสตร์ นักภาษาศาสตร์ และนักโบราณคดีญี่ปุ่นหลายรุ่นโต้แย้งว่ายามาไตอยู่ที่ใดและมันมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับยามาโตะในยุคหลังหรือไม่^[3][4][5]
