Shenute Mkuu (pia: Shenute Abati, Shenuda; Shenalolet, 348 hivi</ref> (the date 348 AD, often mentioned but not universally accepted, is based on an inscription in his monastery, dating from the twelfth or thirteen century^[1] - Sohag, 1 Julai 465) alikuwa abati wa Monasteri Nyeupe nchini Misri kuanzia mwaka 385.

Alishiriki Mtaguso wa Efeso (431) pamoja na Sirili wa Aleksandria na kuacha maandishi mbalimbali, hasa hotuba na barua, ambayo yanamfanya mwandishi bora wa lugha ya Kimisri^[2].

Tangu kale anaheshimiwa kama mtakatifu na Makanisa ya Kiorthodoksi ya Mashariki, hasa na Wakopti.
