Ľudovít IV. Bavorský (* 1. apríl 1282, Mníchov – † 11. október 1347, Puch) bol bavorský vojvoda, brandenburský markgróf a rímsko-nemecký kráľ od 1314 a cisár od 1328 z rodu Wittelsbachovcov. Po spore s pápežom Jánom XXII. ovládol Rím a dal sa korunovať za cisára. Pápež Klement VI. sa spojil proti nemu s Luxemburgovcami (voľba Karola IV. 1346 za protikráľa), jeho náhla smrť pomohla Karolovi IV. získať v rímsko-nemeckej ríši prevahu.
