Vojenský historický ústav (Slovensko)

Vojenský historický ústav (skratka VHÚ) je vedeckovýskumné, múzejné a archívne zariadenie Ministerstva obrany Slovenskej republiky (MO SR) pre oblasť vojenskej histórie, ktorý „zabezpečuje špecializovaný základný a aplikovaný vojensko-historický výskum, archívnu, múzejnú, edičnú, knižničnú, bibliografickú a vedecko-informačnú činnosť“[1]. Bol zriadený rozkazom ministra obrany SR č. 27 z 26. apríla 1994 s účinnosťou od 1. mája 1994. Pôvodne bolo začlenené do podriadenosti riaditeľovi Sekcie sociálnych služieb MO SR,[2] od 1. januára 1998 pôsobí ako rozpočtová organizácia, zriadená na základe zriaďovacej listiny č. 50021 z 31. decembra 1997, ktorú vydalo MO SR. Riaditeľstvo VHÚ sídli v Bratislave a pracoviská ústavu sú okrem Bratislavy dislokované v Piešťanoch a vo Svidníku.

Organizačná štruktúra

Podľa organizačného poriadku účinného od 1. júla 2019[3] sú organizačnými zložkami VHÚ (v zátvorke sú okrem skratiek uvedené ich sídla):

  • Riaditeľstvo VHÚ (Bratislava)
  • Odbor vojensko-historických výskumov (OVHV; Bratislava),
  • Odbor finančného, personálneho a logistického zabezpečenie (OFPaLZ) VHÚ (Bratislava), ktorý sa delí na:
    • Oddelenie logistického zabezpečenia služieb OFPaLZ VHÚ (Bratislava),
    • Oddelenie finančného a personálneho zabezpečenia OFPaLZ VHÚ (Bratislava),
  • Vojenský historický archív (VHA; Bratislava)
  • Vojenské historické múzeum (VHM), ktoré tvorí:
