Medzinárodné letisko Los Angeles, LAX je jedno z najväčších letísk na svete.
Pri jeho výstavbe sa prdŕžali hesla „vybudovať supermoderné letisko, ktoré celý svet bude obdivovať“. Letisko prepojilo Los Angeles s celým svetom, v roku 2016 prepravilo takmer 81 miliónov pasažierov. LAX muselo pre čoraz väčší záujem o Los Angeles, vybudovať deväť terminálov. Skutočná skúška letiska bola letná olympiáda v r. 1984, pre túto príležitosť postavili nový, deviaty terminál s názvom „Tom Bradley International Terminal“. O veľkosti letiska svedčí aj počet leteckých spoločností, ktoré majú pravidelné spoje s LAX. Letisko vybudovalo celkom štyri dráhy (runways), s označením 7L/25R (3 685 metrov), 7R/25L, 6R/24L (3 135 metrov) 6L/25R (2 720 metrov).
