Levitikus

Levitikus (iné názvy: Kniha Levitikus, (Kniha) Leviticus, Tretia Mojžišova kniha, Tretia kniha Mojžišova[pozn 1]; skr. Lv alebo 3M; lat. Liber Leviticus - doslova Kniha Levitov), po hebrejsky Va-jikra alebo Vajikra[1] (ויקרא, doslova A zvolal…), je tretia kniha Tóry (Pentateuchu) a hebrejskej Biblie (židovského Tanachu a kresťanského Starého zákona).

Obsah

Kniha obsahuje predpisy pre kult a pre kňazov – Levitov. Skladá sa z nasledujúcich častí:

  1. Zákony o obetách
  2. Ustanovenie kňazov
  3. Predpisy o čistote
  4. Deň zmierenia
  5. Zákon o svätosti
  6. Dodatok - o sľuboch a desiatkoch

Tieto predpisy neplatia pre kresťanov, ale kniha im môže pomôcť pochopiť niektoré časti Nového zákona.
