Barbara Erskinová (* 10. august 1944, Nottingham, Spojené kráľovstvo) je britská spisovateľka.

Životopis

Vyštudovala stredovekú históriu Škótska na University of Edinburgh.[1] Jej knižným debutom bol román Lady of Hay z roku 1986, ktorý bol preložený do 30 jazykov[2] a predalo sa cez tri milióny výtlačkov.[3] Píše najmä historické romány, napísala aj niekoľko zbierok poviedok. S novým titulom prichádza priemerne raz za dva roky, a to kvôli obsiahlemu výskumu a písaniu dvoch verzií každej novej knihy.[4] Prakticky celé jej doterajšie dielo je preložené do češtiny.

Vlastní starobylý zámok v essexskom meste Colchester[4] a dom v Hereforde v grófstve Herefordshire.
