Zuken Inc. is a Japanese software company. It makes computer programs that engineers use to design electronics. The company started in 1976 in Yokohama, Japan.[1] The name Zuken means "graphics laboratory".

Zuken's main software helps people design printed circuit boards. A printed circuit board is the flat board inside phones and computers that holds the electronic parts and connects them. Zuken also makes software to design wiring and cables for cars and planes.

Zuken is one of the four main companies that make this kind of board-design software. The other three are Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics, and Altium.[1]

Zuken's shares are sold on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.[2] About 1,300 people work for the company. It has offices in Asia, Europe, and North America.[2]

History

Zuken started in 1976.[1] In 1978, it made one of Japan's first programs for designing printed circuit boards. It opened its first United States office in 1983.[1]
