The Zabur is what the Qur'an describes God revealing to David. It contains psalms, which are poetic prayers of praise and worship. The Qur'an says: "We sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms" (Qur'an 4:163).[1][2]
