Willibald Schmaus (16 June 1912 – 27 April 1979) was an Austrian footballdefender. He played for First Vienna FC. He represented both Austria and Germany and played for both teams in the FIFA World Cup.[1]
Career
He played for Vienna from 1929 till 1949. The first major success was winning the cup in May 1930 with a 1-0 final win over FK Austria Wien. He also took part in the finals of this competition in 1936 and 1937 which Vienna won in 1937. In 1931 Vienna won the first championship in the club's history. 1933 they managed to win another title. With vice championships in 1932 and 1936 other successes could be recorded. Internationally the won the Mitropa Cup in 1931 and 1932.
