Wayne State College (WSC) is a public college in Wayne, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Nebraska State College System. About 4,600 students go to school there.[1]
The college started in 1891 as a private school called Nebraska Normal College. In 1910, the state took control of it and gave it a new name. The college has changed its name a few times since then. It became Wayne State College in 1963.[2]
Wayne State College's sports teams are called the Wildcats. They play in NCAA Division II.
In 2024, U.S. News & World Report ranked Wayne State College No. 96 out of 165 Midwest regional universities.[3]
