Vila Don Patto Restaurant is a gastronomic and leisure complex founded in 2010 by Túlio Patto,[1][2]located in the city of São Roque,[3]São Paulo, Brazil. Located on the renowned Wine Route, the space occupies approximately 40 thousand square meters and offers several attractions, combining gastronomy, culture and entertainment.[4]
History
The history of Vila Don Patto is intrinsically linked to the legacy of the Patto family, of Portuguese origin. The patriarch, José dos Santos Patto,[5] was born on October 30, 1893, in the city of Saima, Portugal. In 1912, José immigrated to Brazil, settling in São Roque, where he began producing wines, becoming a pioneer in winemaking in the region.[6]
In 1918, José founded the Minho e D’Ouro winery, which produced wines until 1960,[7][8] when his son, Júlio dos Santos Patto, took over the management. Under Júlio's leadership, the “Patto”[9] and “Pattão” labels gained notoriety and reached markets in various regions of Brazil.[10]
After decades of winemaking tradition, the family ended its own wine production in 2010. That same year, Túlio Patto, inspired by the family history and his passion for gastronomy, transformed the old vineyard into a complex focused on leisure and culture: Vila Don Patto.[11]
