My username is derived from Tenmei (天明), which was a Japanese era name (年号, nengō, lit. "year name") during the years from 1781 through 1789. The new era marked the beginning of the reign of Emperor Kōkaku (光格天皇, Kōkaku-tennō) in 1781.
- Per :en:Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations#Ansei → Tenmei and the suggestion of en:User:WJBscribe, Tenmei is resumed as an active username. During the period 13 December 2011 to 1 October 2012, the username Tenmei was semi-retired; and then I edited as Horeki after 13 December 2012 until the username was semi-retired. I edited as Ansei after 1 October 2012 until the username was semi-retired. I edited as Jinki after 3 February 2013 until the username was semi-retired. As of 31 May 2013, User:Horeki + User:Ansei + User:Jinki became redirects to this page. User talk:Horeki + User talk:Ansei + User talk:Jinki became redirects to User talk:Tenmei. --Tenmei (talk) 18:33, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
