Raj Nagesh Kosaraju (born 1963) is an Indian-American entrepreneur, author, and film producer. He is best known as the Co-Founder and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Maxil Technology Solutions Inc., an enterprise technology company based in Chicago, Illinois.[1] He is also an advisor and mentor at technology incubators and start-up organisations in the United States, Latin America, and India.[2]
Raj Nagesh Kosaraju was born in 1963 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India.[2] He grew up partly in Madras, India. He attended Christ Church Higher Secondary School in Jabalpur for his early education.[2]
His father, Dr. Reddaiah, was a scientist in marine biology who completed his PhD at the University of Liverpool, England.[2][3]
Kosaraju holds several advanced degrees and professional qualifications:[2][1]
Kosaraju began his career in 1988 at Gujarat Narmada Auto Limited (GNAL) in Bharuch, Gujarat, India, where he worked in marketing under S.K. In March–April 1991, Kosaraju represented GNFC and GNAL at the 17th All India Management Association (AIMA) National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM), alongside Vinod Vallabhai Patel (Deputy Manager) and Mukesh Tyagi.[5] Managing Director Kanak Trivedi subsequently invited Kosaraju to participate in the Mudra Communications advertising presentation in Ahmedabad.[5]
He later joined Kinetic Engineering India around 1992, where he served as Marketing Manager for the Kinetic Pride two-wheeler during its pre-launch and development phase, leading city-wide road show promotions across Visakhapatnam.[6]
He subsequently held senior roles at Sterling Information Group (Thomas Cook group) as Profit Center Head, as Country Manager at Zee Plus Infocorp (India and US operations), and as Vice President at Nexis Information Technology.[2]
In 1999, Kosaraju co-founded Maxil Technology Solutions Inc. in Illinois along with Kalyan Reddy, whom he met at Texas A&M University. The company was started with $5,000 borrowed from friends and acquaintances and was positioned as a Knowledge Process Management and Domain Resource Augmentation firm, deliberately avoiding Y2K work when competitors concentrated on it.[1]
Maxil is headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, with operations in Secunderabad, India, serving major clients including Bank of America and AT&T.[7] Its core services include Big Data and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), IT Outsourcing, and Software Innovation.
