Tuzla

Tuzla is the third largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, it has about 110,000 people living there. The city consists of many different cultures and religious affiliations. It is predominantly Muslim with over 75% of population identifying as Muslim, however it is also heavily populated by other groups as well making up nearly 25% who identify as Orthodox, Catholic, Atheist or other. ^[1]

Tuzla has also been labeled multiple times as being the most polluted city in all of Europe. And on years where it isn't listed as #1 it's frequently a 2nd or 3rd most polluted city due to using old coal as source of energy and city planning having been very poor and large quantities of population in the cities living in housing that sits almost in a valley surrounding mountains and hills where the power plants are built too close to proximity of housed population while also the housing built in areas that dip in like valleys and only magnify the pollution that sits in the air that people in the city have to inhale with slow dissipation. There are also reports of another coal operated plant to be built despite protests and now vast availability of educational sources and environmental groups that shun the thought of that.^[2]
