Troy Nathan Terry (born September 10, 1997) is an American professional ice hockey right winger. He currently plays for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Terry is a two-time All-Star, being named one in 2022 and 2023.

Career

Before playing in the NHL, Terry played one regular season game with the Indiana Ice and one season with the U.S. National Development Team of the United States Hockey League (USHL), as well as, three years with the Denver Pioneers of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). He had a successful time with his teams. He helped the Pioneers when they went on a run in the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament. They defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies and Penn State Nittany Lions to make it to the Frozen Four. They went on to defeat Notre Dame Fighting Irish before defeating Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs 4–3 to win the National Championship.[1] He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team, NCHC Second All-Star Team, and was named a AHCA First-Team West All-American.[2][3][4]

He was drafted 148th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2015 NHL entry draft.[5] On April 7, 2018, Terry signed a three-year, $4.475 million entry-level contract to join the Ducks.[6]

On March 27, 2018, Terry made his NHL debut in a 4–1 loss against the Vancouver Canucks.[7] On January 19, 2019, Terry scored his first NHL goal against Mackenzie Blackwood and recorded a point after assisting on a Derek Grant goal in a 3–2 win against the New Jersey Devils.[8] On July 14, 2020, Terry signed a three-year, $4.35 million contract to stay with the Ducks.[9] On January 4, 2022, he recorded his first NHL hat-trick in a 4–1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers.[10]

On January 18, Terry was selected to play in his first All-Star game.[11] On January 05, 2023, he was selected to play in his second All-Star game.[12] On August 2, Terry signed a seven-year, $49 million contract to stay with the Ducks.[13]
