Teodors Bļugers (born 15 August 1994) is a Latvian professional ice hockey centre. He currently plays for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights. Outside of the NHL, Blueger played for Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

He is a one-time Stanley Cup champion, winning with the Golden Knights in 2023.

Career

Before playing in the NHL, Blueger played four years with the Minnesota State Mavericks of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). He had a successful time with the Mavericks. He was named to the WCHA All-Tournament Team and the All-WCHA First Teams.

He was drafted 52nd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL entry draft. On 22 March 2016, Blueger signed a two-year, $1.85 million entry-level contract to join the Penguins.[1] They sent him down to play for their AHL-affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

On 28 October 2025, Pittsburgh called him up and Blueger made his NHL debut in a 4–2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.[2] The next day, Blueger scored his first NHL goal against Anders Nilsson in a 5–3 win against the Ottawa Senators.[3] On 17 July 2018, Blueger signed a one-year, $650,000 contract to stay with the Penguins.[4] On 16 July 2019, Blueger signed a two-year, $1.5 million contract to stay with the Penguins.[5] On 14 July 2021, Blueger signed a two-year, $2.2 million contract to stay with the Penguins.[6]

On 1 March 2023, the Penguins traded Blueger to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for Peter DiLiberatore and a 2024 third-round draft pick.[7] He helped the Knights when they went on a run in the playoffs. They defeated the Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, and Dallas Stars. They went on to defeat the Florida Panthers four games to one in the Final to win the first Stanley Cup in Golden Knights franchise history.[8]

On 1 July 2023, Blueger signed a one-year, $1.9 million contract to join the Vancouver Canucks.[9] On 26 June 2024, Blueger signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract to stay with the Canucks.[10]
