I have also noticed that en: wikipedia has a strong population of anti-Armenians, who fight hard to get almost everything that is known by specialists about Armenian history declared as "fringe", thus enshrining their own POVs as if their POVs were the equivalent of "neutrality", and all other POV's supposedly "don't count". It's easy for them to scream "fringe! fringe!" at nearly anything to do with Armenian history, because there is generally great ignorance of this area in other parts of the world. This type of problem is one of the biggest stains on en: wikipedia, and NPOV is also an area where we can compete and do better than that, and truly present ALL major sides to a controversial or disputed story, rather than the "ostracization tactics" we routinely see performed over there (the wolfpack mentality, interested mainly in information control, and telling only THEIR side of a story).
Let me also point out again that the Simple English wikipedia project is not simply a rubber-stamp or extension for whatever pack with the loudest voice happens to be controlling a given area on the main en:wiki on this particular day. This is a separate project from en:, fr:, de:, etc., with a far smaller population of editors who are familiar with each other and monitor every change, so it is not as easy here for a huge horde of people to swarm in from nowhere and create their own version of "neutrality" on a disputed topic; rather we are if anything even more bound to take all major views into account, exactly as the NPOV policy states we should.

Agreed I see nothing POV here. The Armens are mentioned in Armenian history as one of the first tribes that mixed and created the Armenian people. It has alot of references thus it should stay. There is nothing 'nationalist' here, and Dbachmann you tend to add your personal commentary on wikipedia pages without references, and just because you are not Armenian and a 'third party' does not make you neutral since your stance on Armenian history is absurd. --Yegoyan 18:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
