Suresh Pujari (born 29 July 1960) is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Suresh Kumar Pujari was born on 29 July 1960 in Sambalpur, Odisha.[1] In 1979, he got a Bachelor of Science degree from Gangadhar Meher College. In 1981, he got a Master of Science degree in physics from the same college. In 1984, he got a Bachelor of Laws degree from Lajpat Rai Law College.[1][2]
Pujari became the leader of a students' union in 1980. He left the job in 1981.[1][3] In 1985, he tried to become a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. He lost in the election for the Sambalpur Assembly constituency. He ran as an independent politician. This means that he did not represent any political party. He won the election for chairman of Sambalpur Municipality in 1992. He lost in the election for the Sambalpur Assembly constituency again in 1995.[4] From 2006 to 2009, Pujari was the president of the BJP in Odisha.[1] In 2000, 2004, and 2009, he was the candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the election for the Brajarajnagar Assembly constituency. He lost each election. The difference in votes was small. He lost the 2014 election for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency. The Lok Sabha is the lower house of the Indian Parliament.[4]
Pujari won the Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency election in 2019.[4] He served for five years. He did not run again in 2024.[5] He won the Brajarajnagar Assembly constituency election in 2024.[6] In the same year, Mohan Charan Majhi became chief minister of Odisha. He selected Pujari as the Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management.[7]
He is married to Padmini Nayak.[1] They have 2 sons.[8]
