Sitor Situmorang (October 2, 1923 – December 21, 2014) was an Indonesian poet, essayist and writer of short stories. Situmorang was born in Harianboho, North Sumatra. He was educated in Jakarta. He worked as a journalist and literary critic. Situmorang was known for his poem Angkatan ’45 (The Generation of ’45).
On December 21, 2014, he died at the age of 91 at his home in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.[1]
