"Shotta Flow " is the first single off of American rapper NLE Choppa 's first extended play Cottonwood . The song was released on January 17, 2019. There is also a remix that features American rapper Blueface , it was the second single to the EP. Since releasing the song, Choppa has made many sequels of the song.
The song was able to make it to #14 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs , #19 on the Rolling Stone Top 100 , and #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.[ 1] [ 2] [ 3] It was also certified 5× Platinum by Music Canada . The original was certified 3× Platinum and the remix was certified 2× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[ 4] [ 5]
In the song, Choppa raps about carrying big guns and how he will pull up with his gang to kill anybody messing with them.[ 6]
A music video for the song was released. In the video, Choppa carries a gun and raps in front a house with his friends.[ 7]
