Roger Menama Lukaku (6 June 1967 – 28 September 2025) was a Congolese footballer. He played as a forward for teams in Zaire, the Ivory Coast,[2] Belgium, and Turkey.[1] He was also capped 13 times for Zaire between 1990 and 1996, scoring six goals[1] and playing for them at the 1994[3] and 1996 African Cup of Nations.[4]

Lukaku was arrested on 29 March 2013, after being sentenced in absentia to 15 months in prison for assaulting his girlfriend two different times. He requested a provisional release, because he did not receive a court notice and could not defend himself in court. This request was granted, and he was released from prison after eleven days. He was given a new trial on 24 June 2013, where he was sentenced to 120 hours of community service.[5][6][7]

Lukaku died on 28 September 2025, at the age of 58.[8] He was the father of footballers Romelu Lukaku and Jordan Lukaku,[9] and the uncle of footballer Boli Bolingoli.[10]
