Paul Dennett is a British politician who has been the Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester since 2021. He was the interim Mayor of Greater Manchester from June 2026 to August 2026 after Mayor Andy Burnham resigned after winning the 2026 Makerfield by-election.[1] He is a member of the Labour Party. He has been the Mayor of Salford since 2016.

Dennett was born in Warrington and grew up working class. He is openly gay.[2]
