Oliver Tree Nickell (June 29, 1993 – June 14, 2026) was an American singer-songwriter, comedian, rapper and actor. He was born in Santa Cruz, California. He died in a helicopter crash in June 2026 in Brazil.

Career

Tree started his professional career in 2017 after his song "When I'm Down" went viral.[4] He released his first studio album Ugly Is Beautiful on July 17, 2020. He became well known for his singles "Life Goes On" in 2021 and "Miss You" in 2022.

Tree released his second studio album, Cowboy Tears, on February 18, 2022; his third studio album, Alone in a Crowd, on September 29, 2023; and his fourth studio album, Love You Madly Hate You Badly, on April 24, 2026.[5][6]

Death

On June 14, 2026, Nickell was killed alongside many others, in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was 32 years old.[7][8]
