Oliver Moore (born January 22, 2005) is an American professional ice hockey center. He currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Before playing in the NHL, Moore played two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and two years with the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Big Ten Conference (B1G). Moore finished his freshman year scoring 9 goals and recording 24 assists for 33 points. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.[1]
He was drafted 19th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL entry draft.[2] On March 29, 2025, Moore signed a three-year, $950,000 entry-level contract to join the Blackhawks.[3] The next day on March 30, Moore made his NHL debut in a 5–2 loss against the Utah Hockey Club.[4] On April 4, he recorded his first two NHL points, assisting on goals from Frank Nazar and Philipp Kurashev in a 5–3 loss against the Washington Capitals.[5] He was sent down to play for their AHL-affiliate Rockford IceHogs where he played 9 regular season games before being called back up. On November 9, Moore scored his first NHL goal against John Gibson in a 5–1 win against the Detroit Red Wings.[6]
