Nepal Police is the main and national law enforcement organization in Nepal. Its major duties are to uphold law and order, prevent crime, and carry out criminal investigations within the boundaries set by the Nepalese Constitution. Nepal Police also performs a wide range of ceremonial functions, including VIP protection, security of important infrastructure, traffic management, secret services, intelligence gathering, riot control, disaster management, hostage rescue, and several other roles.[1]
