The Samravata Incident

On November 13, 2024, during the polling phase of the by-election, a major controversy erupted in Samravata village. Villagers were boycotting the vote, demanding the village be moved from the Deoli sub-division to the nearer Uniara sub-division.[3]

Meena, supporting the boycott, entered a polling booth and engaged in a heated argument with Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) . During the confrontation, Meena physically assaulted (slapped) the SDM on camera.
