Mosgiel /ˈmɒzɡl/ (Māori: Te Konika o te Matamata) is a urban satellite town and is fifteen kilometers west of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. It has 5 primary schools and one high school in the town. It is the home of All Black coach Steve Hansen and rugby union and rugby league player Brad Thorn.
