Martinair Flight 138 was a flight from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, to Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Dutch airline Martinair was managing the flight for Garuda Indonesia. The plane was a McDonnell Douglas DC-8-55CF.[1] On 4 December 1974, the plane fell into a mountain. Nine crew members (people who are working on the flight) and 182 passengers died. Almost all the people on the flight were going to Hajj.[2][3][4][5]
