Mae West (August 17, 1893 – November 22, 1980) was an Americanactress. She worked in vaudeville and later in movies. She is best-remembered for her dirty jokes and comedy movies.
She is one of the famous people who appeared on the cover the Beatlesalbum, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. When asked if she wanted to be on the cover she said, "No, I won't be on it. What would I be doing in a lonely hearts club?", then later The Beatles told her what it was and she changed her mind.
