The relations between Kuwait and Taiwan share de facto, informal and economic relations. Kuwait recognized China in March 1971.

The relations between Kuwait and Taiwan share de facto, informal and economic relations. Kuwait recognized China in March 1971.

History

Kuwait previously recognized the Republic of China in November 1963, but switched its recognition to People's Republic of China in March 1971. Kuwait follows the One China principle. [1] However, Kuwait maintains de facto, informal and economic relations with Taiwan.
