Dr Khandaker A.N.M Abdullah Jahangir (Bengali: ড. খোন্দকার আব্দুল্লাহ জাহাঙ্গীর) is Bangladeshi Islamic Scholar, Professor, Writer and preacher of Islam.[3][4][5][6][7] He was a professor at Islamic University, Kushtia.[8] He has written many books on Islami, which include Hādīsēra nāmē jāliẏāti (Eng: Fraud in the name of Hadith). He discusses contemporary issues of Islam on various TV channel of Bangladesh.[9][10][11][12][13] He used to hold Islamic Mahfil and Waj in different parts of the country.[10][14]
Early life
Jahangir was born in 1 February 1961 in the village of Gobindpur-Dhopaghat village in Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila at Jhenaidah District.[15] His Father name is Khandaker Anwaruzzaman and mother's name is Begum Lutfunnahar.[16][17][18]
In addition to his studies at the Madrasa, he passed the SSC, HSC examinations from Government Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Magura and secured the first place in the Jessore Board. At that time, those who had won the first place in various education boards of Bangladesh, then President Ziaur Rahman took them on a boat trip as part of the state honors. Abdullah Jahangir was also among them.[19][25]
Studying at the university, he received two consecutive Student awards from the King of Saudi Arabia and the then Governor of Riyadh, Salman bin Abdul Aziz. In Bangladesh, He learned from Ayub Ali, Ubaidul Haq, Miya Muhammad Kasemi, Mawlana Abdur Rahim and so on.[26]

Abdullah Jahangir and Zaghloul El-Naggar used to do dawati work among foreign students, through their efforts more than 300 students converted to Islam.[27]
After finishing Kamil at Dhaka Alia Madrasa, he taught Nasna Nurnagar Siddiquia Dakhil Madrasah, Jhenaidah for about two years.[19][25] In his university life, he worked as a clerk and translator at the Northern Riyadh Islamic Center from 1993 to 1996.[29] Complete his education life in Saudi Arab, He back Bangladesh and join as lecturer in 1998 at Islamic University in Al Hadith department.[30] In 1999, he received advanced training in Islamic development and Arabic from Indonesia. In 2009, he was promoted to the post of Professor in the same department of the Islamic University, Bangladesh. He also taught as a part-time Hadith teacher at the Darussalam Madrasa in Dhaka.[8][31]
He was the Imam of Jhenaidah Jame Mosque and Central Eidgah Maidan till his death.[23] He was a popular speaker in the Waz mahfil.[32][33][34] He used to visit remote areas of Bangladesh and recite the pure message of Islam to the people.[16][35]

Jahangir write many book about three language. As Sunnah Trust: As Sunnah trust is a Islamic School situated at Jhenaidah city. About 350-400 Students come here for higher study on Islamic Reaserch.[53] It has Madrasahtus Sunnah school amoung Boys and Girl section.[54] And Islamic Scholar Shaikh Ahmadullah[55] establish As-Sunnah Foundation organization follow As Sunnah Trust.[56] Both Organization serve many humanity work.[57][58][59]

Personal life
He was married to Fatima, daughter of Pir Abdul Kahhar Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif. There are one son and three daughters.[10] Many people and native Islamic scholars have praised him.[60]
Death
Abdullah Jahangir died in a road accident on the spot on May 11, 2016 on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Magura in the collision of his microbus and covered-van.[61][62][63][64] Many people condoled his death.[65][66][67]
