Kepler-16b is a planet outside our solar system. It orbits the Kepler-16A and Kepler-16B stars 245 light-years (2.32×1015 km; 1.44×1015 mi; 15,500,000 AU) away from Earth.[1] Bill Borucki discovered it in 2011. It is 107,781 kilometres (66,972 mi) in diameter. It has a surface temperature of −85 °C (−121 °F; 188 K). It has a orbital period of 228.8 days, similar to Venus.[1] It has a orbital radius of 0.7048 astronomical units (105,440,000 km; 65,520,000 mi).[1]
