KaTeX is a JavaScript library that shows mathematical notation on any web browser. It aims to be fast and easy to use.^[2]

It was initially developed by Khan Academy.^[3] This is why it starts from K. KaTeX is known to be one of the top five popular projects on GitHub in September 2014.^[4]
