The Peoples Temple Agricultural Project, or Jonestown, was the site of the infamous 1978 massacre of the Peoples Temple, led by Jim Jones, in which over nine hundred people died there.[1][2] It was located in northern Guyana (at that time was a British colony). On 18 November 1978, Jonestown gained international attention when 918 members of the cult, including Jim Jones, died (possibly suicide) in here.
