Jimmy Snuggerud (born June 1, 2004) is an American professional ice hockey right winger. He currently plays for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Before playing in the NHL, Snuggerud played parts of two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and three years with the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Big Ten Conference (B1G). He had a successful time with his teams. With the Golden Gophers, he finished his freshman season scoring 21 goals and recording 29 assists for 50 points in 40 regular season games. For his production, he was named the Big Ten Scoring Champion and was also named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and All-Big Ten Freshman Team.[1] The next two seasons, he was named to back-to-back All-Big Ten First Teams and was also named a AHCA West Second Team All-American.[2][3][4]
He was drafted 57th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2020 NHL entry draft.[5] On March 28, 2025, Snuggerud signed a three-year entry-level contract to join the Blues.[6]
On April 1, 2025, Snuggerud made his NHL debut in a 2–1 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings.[7] Two days later, he recorded his first NHL point after assisting on a Jake Neighbours goal in a 5–4 overtime win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.[8] On April 15, Snuggerud scored his first NHL goal on the powerplay against Karel Vejmelka in a 6–1 win against the Utah Hockey Club.[9]
On June 12, 2026, the league named Snuggerud to their NHL All-Rookie Team after scoring 21 goals and recording 30 assists for 51 points in 70 regular season games for the Blues.[10]
Snuggerud's father Dave Snuggerud was also a professional hockey player and played parts of 4 seasons in the NHL.[11]
