Jeanne Collet (4 July 1908 - 17 October 2001) was a French track and field athlete during the 1920s, during the early era of women's athletics. She competing in the sprinting events and in the high jump. She represented France at international comptitions. She was national record holder in the 250 metres and 4 x 220 yards relay and won several medals at national championships.

Biography

Collet was born on 4 July 1908 in Oyonnax. She was until 1924 a member of CS Orge. From 1925 she was a member of Nova Fémina in Paris.[1] She was specialized in the hurdles events, but also competed in the 60 metres and long jump.[2]

She was selected to represent France at the 1923 France–Great Britain women's athletics competition in Paris. She finished third in the 250 metres event in a new French national record of 36.4 seconds. She also ran with the national team a French record in the 4 x 220 yards relay with a time of 1:56.8. In this match she also competed in the high jump and 100 yards.[3][4]

At the 1925 French Athletics Championships [fr] she won the silver medal in the both the 80 metres and 250 metres behind Marguerite Radideau. She also won the silver medal in the high jump behind Marguerite Patouillet.[2] She was selected to compete in the 83 metres hurdles event at the 1925 Belgium–France women's athletics match, but she didn't compete.[5]
