Jane Somerville (née Platnauer ; born 24 January 1933) is a British emeritus professor of cardiology at Imperial College London .
Somerville was the attending physician at Britain's first heart transplantation in 1968.[ 1] She is best known for writing and researching about GUCH (grown-ups with congenital heart disease).
