Huey Percy Newton (February 17, 1942 – August 22, 1989) was an African-American communist political activist. Along with Bobby Seale, he co-founded the Black Panther Party in 1966.[1]

In 1989, he was shot and killed during a drug deal in Oakland, California, aged 47.[2] Huey Newton had one biological child Rico Cortez Dukes According to Alameda Oakland California Vital Court Records.
