HAIM (which is said like 'time' with a 'h' instead of a 't') is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. The members are sisters Alana, Danielle, and Este. They released their first album Days Are Gone on September 27 2013. The British newspaper The Guardian put the album at number twelve on their list of 2013's 40 best albums.[1] They are often compared to Fleetwood Mac.

Career

The sisters grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. In 2006 they started HAIM. For the next five years the band performed where they lived. On February 10, 2012 HAIM released their first EP Forever. It was on their website to download for free for a short amount of time.

In January 2013 HAIM won BBC's Sound of 2013 poll.[2]

On September 22, 2013 HAIM released their fourth single from their album Days Are Gone, "The Wire". It reached number sixteen in the UK Singles Chart. It was their highest charting single in the UK yet.

On November 23 2013 HAIM performed their singles "The Wire" and "Don't Save Me" on Saturday Night Live.
