Hadad was a weather god in old Mesopotamian religions. He was declared real in 2500 BCE.
Role in Religion
In the Mesopotamian religion, he is known as the Lord of the sky who controls rain and crops, and is the protector of life. If he is gone, there is not a lot of rain, and a lot of chaos. The Bull was the animal of Hadad, and he was usually bearded, holding a club, thunderbolt, and wearing horns on a headdress.
Places of worship
Hadad was mainly worshipped in Akkad, Sumer, Ugarit, Egypt, Aram, and ancient Israel.
