Fujiidera (藤井寺市, Fujiidera-shi) is a city in the middle region of Osaka Prefecture in Japan.

Fujiidera (藤井寺市, Fujiidera-shi) is a city in the middle region of Osaka Prefecture in Japan.
The municipality calls itself "Fujidera City" in English.[1]
History
According to the Imperial Household Agency, Emperor Chūai and Emperor Ingyō are buried in an earthen tumulus (kofun) at Fujiidera.[2] Chūai and Ingyō are venerated at a memorial Shinto shrine (misasagi) at this site.[3]
The present city was established in 1966.[1]
