Fred William Cox (December 11, 1938 – November 20, 2019) was an American kicker for the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at Pitt. He was also the inventor of the Nerf football.

Cox died on November 20, 2019 in Monticello, Minnesota of kidney disease at the age of 80.^[1]
