Eocarcharodon is a extinct potencialy dubious genus of megatoothed sharks that lived probably in Early Eocene, between 53 and 48 milion years ago.[1] The only know species, E. rondelettiformis, was named by Menner, in 1932 originally as Lamnid, but reclassified as Otodontid by Glickman in 1964.

Your validity are now in dispute, he is now considered a nomen nudum, probably synonym of other know Otodontid, probably the giant shark Otodus obliquus.

Classificationu

The E. rondelettiformis was describried in 1932 by the Menner, the same discovery of the Otodus aksuaticus,[2] and was classified originaly a extinct species of White shark.[source?] But was reclassified in extinct family Otodontidae by Glickman in 1964.

Distribuition

The originaly fossils of E. rondelettiformis was "lost", but old articles cited that the species lived in Atlas, Africa.
