Dead Rising 2 is a survival horror video game developed by Blue Castle Games and published by Capcom.
It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 8, 2006 in North America,[1] September 8, 2006 in Europe,[1] September 14, 2006 in Australia,[1] and on September 28, 2006 in Japan.[1] It was also released on Microsoft Windows on September 28, 2010 in North America,[2] September 30, 2010 in Australia,[2] October 1, 2010 in Europe,[2] and on October 28, 2010 in Japan.[2]
The game was the second in the Dead Rising video game series and is the sequel to Dead Rising which was released in 2006.
Reception
IGN rated the game a 8 out of 10 and said it was "It’s not the smoothest game and it can feel like the last one, however that doesn’t mean a thing when the game’s this much fun."[3]
GameSpot gave the game a 8.5 out of 10 and stated "The Dead Rising formula proves to be as addictive as ever, and a new cooperative mode and weapon crafting system are great additions to the franchise."[4]
