Calcium phosphide is a chemical compound made of calcium and phosphide ions. The chemical formula is Ca3P2. The molar mass is around 182.18 g/mol. It appears as a red-brown solid. It is used as rodenticide, fumigant, and preparation of fireworks and flares due to phosphine gas.[1]

It can be made when calcium metal reacts with phosphorus to make calcium phosphide.
