Brazil–India relations

Brazil-India relations refer to the bilateral relations between the Republic of India and the Federative Republic of Brazil. Both share an important partnership and collaborate on various global issues. This relationship is built on shared democratic values, a commitment to development, and a common global vision.[1][2][3] India and Brazil have elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership, signifying a high level of co-operation and engagement. Both countries are active members of various international forums such as BRICS, G20, and the UN, working together on global issues. They also emphasize democratic values and a commitment to inclusive development, fostering a sense of shared purpose,[3] and trade between the two countries has been growing, with a focus on globalizing trade and strengthening both economies.[4] There's also been an increase in cultural exchange and understanding.[5] While there were some historical tensions related to decolonization, particularly regarding Goa, the relationship has evolved to focus on shared interests and a positive output for the future.
