Andreas Ibertsberger (born 27 July 1982) was an Austrian professional footballer. He played as a left-back. He was a member of the Austria national team. Ibertsberger is a younger brother of former national team player Robert Ibertsberger.
Club career
He started his career with his local club SV Seekirchen. Then he went on to SV Austria Salzburg. In January 2005 he went on to SC Freiburg.[1] In January 2008 he moved to 1899 Hoffenheim. With Hoffenheim he was promoted to the German Bundesliga.
On 15 May 2012 the contract expired. He had missed most matches of the 2011–12 season with a chronic back problem.[2] 2013 he went to MSV Duisburg in the 2.League. After this he ended his career.
International career
Ibertsberger made his debut for Austria in an October 2004 World Cup qualification match against Northern Ireland.
Managing career
He started as assistance coach for the second team of TSG Hoffenheim. Then he went on to Eintracht Frankfurt, where he is assistance coach of the U19 team.[3]
